A long time coming!

PLPB recording artists Slimm Gracey is currently in the studio working on his debut project “Who Is Slimm Gracey?”. It’s truly been a long time coming! Slimm has faithfully served behind the scenes and now it’s his season! When asked what could the listeners expect from this project, here was his response: “This is the album people have been waiting for! When you listen to it you will hear transparency, sincerity, encouragement, banging beats by V’leezy and rhymes! I’ve found out from doing shows and studying the industry that people are searching for something that’s real! My goal for my music is to do just that, represent what’s real (which is the Lord), tell the truth and share my testimony to encourage others.”

Slimm is not a novice in the game. He has appeared on numerous independent releases including “PLPB Presents The Vault” and the most notable one is the “The Take Over” by Praiz. He has also shared the stage and ministered with Cross Movement’s own “Flame”, 116 Clique affiliate “Thi’sl” and St. Louis’s dynamic duo “Choy’zn”. He also shared the stage with the late Gerald Lavert and R&B sensation Brian McKnight. He has most recently been recognized by the Official Holy Hip Hop Summit for his underground release “Save My People” which can be downloaded right now at myspace.com/slimmgracey.

Praiz has composed "Dear St. Louis," in which he calls for unity, prayer and for the community to wake up.

Among the lyrics:

"I don't like the way this is going down/ All this talk about who's hotter than who/ All this fuss about the old and the new/ Recognize we've all been blessed man/ Recognize the troubles we're facing/ Steady closing schools, take a look at the news/ Open your eyes and see we got work to do."
